I liked it.I'm new to the forums and seeing how the last reply on this thread was on OCT the 15th 2013 I'm not sure if anyone is still browsing through this thread, I might have connected some pieces together and given the "EX TGN" employees some validation of some sorts (meaning not exact but its up to you to believe what you want to).

I'm with BBTV, I've never reached above $2CPM. I started to assume it was just standard but as of recent I've found that it really isn't and that I've been lied the s**t out of.
Stupid as I was I signed a 2-year contract, so I'm stuck with these fuckers. I'm trying to break out of it however, and they did ask for my information when I requested to leave so I might be lucky.

Yes, I'm still following the thread as well. I would add that BBTV recently contacted me and said that members could now see YouTube Analytics directly instead of having to go through Catalyst. This was because in our previous discussion, I said that I would never sign with any network that would not allow me direct access to my Analytics.
I told him that YouTube is forcing networks to reveal Analytics. This is not something that BBTV did on their own.
He said that I was incorrect.

Their support is a joke, to be honest. They're either completely misinformed or refuse to actually give you the information you require.
I asked for verification on YouTube and they repeatedly told me that YouTube doesn't offer the service anymore. It took me threatening to leave for them to say "Okay, send us your channel name and we'll send a request to YouTube".
Like, what the f**k?
I'm still getting the hell out of there, verified or not.

I've gotta be honest. There is enough information at this point that we can safely label BBTV a scam business. They have been skimming YouTubers for years, they operate on some of the worst share arrangements and contract terms through nebulous use of the english language which is how they got away with the skimming from their VNs' like TGN, Necessary Gaming, etc. Their support is atrocious, their recruiters blatantly lie to get people in the door. The fact that they do eventually end up paying partners doesn't in any way redeem them of being a scam.
Well it's not much but here goes
over the last month BBTV has been really "caring" for their partners. I quote it because as far as I can tell it's a lie. They've been telling their partners that in December the 3rd there were going to be some youtube changes and people will now be able to see how much money they are making on youtube and it will also show them how much they are actually making before BBTV takes a cut.
The funny thing is the date has passed and still no new features, except for the content ID nonsense that has been hitting affiliate channels.
BBTV has been silent.
and they sent their partners an e-mail talking about how everyone will be affiliate and how it won't affect their partnership status or actually mean anything for that matter. But in reality it does affect channels I say this because,
*the content ID match system is broken
*People are being hit with false copyright claims
* starting next year 2014 affiliate channels won't be able to monetize their videos right away and every single video will have to be reviewed, that could take minutes,hours or even days.
So what does this mean in my personal opinion this means being partnered with BBTV is worthless, their features aren't great heck nothing about them is great.
But at the same time I couldn't help to think what will BBTV do now that they affiliated a lot of their partners except for their top 10 channels, people are going to catch on and want to leave.
So I guessed that they are going to try and keep their partners to stick around but how?

LO-AND-BEHOLD they sent me a new e-mail and in it was an offer not just a regular offer
*$100 dollars for signing the new contract
*being an affiliate channel forever
*getting 60% revenue (we all know thats bull)
all this sweetness and what do i have to do?
SIGN A 2 YEAR LOCK IN CONTRACT
THAT RENEWS itself (which is what I heard some other tgn partner say)
When does it start?
at the start of 2014 when affiliate channels will have to have their videos reviewed and tgn partners aren't going to like this and want to leave the network and find some other network that will manage them.
As for the EX TGN employees one of you said that the CEO of TGN had bright ideas but he would get shut down from the CEO of broadband tv I've sent George (the ex CEO of TGN) a message saying
"I just got done reading a message left from a person who used to work for TGN saying that everyone's ideas got shut down by BBTV CEO I guess you had a lot of bright ideas but they were denied?"
and he replied well just take a look at the picture attached to my post to see what he had to say and yes it's the real George Vanous I talk to him occasionally.
so this can confirm about what the EX TGN employee said about having ideas being shut down to be true. (so in this case we can assume that the person claiming to be an ex tgn employee isn't lying)
