At least I hope this is true. This is what my support on skype told me when i asked him about CPM:Hey Zelj,
I wouldn't worry about being European. My friends and fans in Europe get different ads in Europe watching my videos, but they are still high paying ads because the best advertisers always have business internationally, not just in English countries. Hopefully this makes sense for you. Find out about how else to pay though, I'm sure they will accommodate. Sucks that Serbia has no Paypal though, is that really true?
Hey Zeljko, CPM does not come from BBTV. CPM is a direct result of your views, what region you are in, and what content you are uploading. BBTV helps you increase your CPM, regardless of what it is. It also takes time. CPM can only change drastically with a commited plan. It needs at least a few months to see a trend. This is why we only sign 6 month agreements, no shorter. Because you cannot guage CPM rates, based on a few weeks or even a month of content creation. You also have to factor in, that there are trends such as seasonal ones, that affect all of YouTube. So if your CPM is averaging 1.5$'s one week, and the next week is the first week of Christmas. Your CPM will naturally fall to something like 0.8. Gradually as summer closes in it will rise again to the place in which it plateaus. In this case, neither Blame nor Credit should be given to a network partner, because it's the natural flow. What should be guaged, is after a good chunk of time. That number that you plateau at that has been 1.5 (for example) after 6 months is now at 2, and thenafter a year at 2.4 etc etc. The Analasys is attributed to the same thing. When you first start using Catalyst, the first month is gathering data, so very little relative to earnings and trends will be accurate. It needs a few weeks of data to start working properly.
That doesn't mean the network can just ignore any support requests from a so called 'dead channel'.That really surprises me a s**t ton, because I've been with every major network and BBTV is by far the best. Your comparison is probably inaccurate. You said it yourself you have a dead channel lol. Support always replies to me almost instantly, except on weekends. That's understandable though. I think...
Impression based CPM is the cost per 1000 ad impressions, while playback CPM is the cost per 1000 views (playbacks). Some videos will display multiple ads (in-video and image next to the video in similar videos list), so that's why the impression based CPM is more accurate. It has nothing to do with the network cut.Ofcourse not, read the other post I said. "Has improved since then" is my only way to interpret all this. The other thing that confuses people, and honestly confused be a lot at first to with regards to CPM...
Their dashboard shows Impression CPM and Playback CPM. Impression CPM is 55% of Playback, since it's the amount AFTER Youtube takes 45%. Youtube analytics itself only shows Playback. Seems like transparency ends up biting the company in the a** when people like me see more earnings even though the CPM SEEMED to be less. If you do the conversion it's actually more, obviously.
Also, getting my monetized mobile views helps me a tooooooon. Omg I was so poor with Youtube being with other networks, since they almost never monetize mobile. Ahhhhh! Thank God it's monetized now.

-Yes, I do indeed know the difference, and that it has nothing to do with the network cut. I was clarifying why some might be confused. Also, I never ever saw Impression CPM stated on Youtube, maybe I missed something or maybe things changed. I'll ask my ASMR friends to see what they say. But again, before attacking me, you should first properly interpret what I'm saying and not assume things (like that I thought it has to do with a network cut). It is the Youtube cut, I know, I very very clearly stated that. For now, I will have to stick with my experience: Impression CPM is not clearly stated in Youtube Analytics. This does not at all invalidate anything I am saying.
-I'm not a fanboy, but if I am, I certainly have the right to be. Like I said, I've experienced most major networks and have friends that experienced many as well. I have to go with my experience as opposed to what some outdated thread says, I'm sure you understand.
I am very satisfied, have the right to be satisfied, and have the right to say positive things about something I like. Thank you.
It appears that you're still confused about CPM. Impression VS Playback CPM is not a comparison between pre and post YouTube values at all.
It's also worth noting that the election to monetize mobile is made on the channel end. Adwords is perfectly capable of running mobile ads without the assistance of networks and the insinuation that BBTV is the only network getting involved in placing additional mobile ads just shows you have no idea how online advertising works.
It's fine that you're happy with the network that you are partnered by. But you need to do far more research before making some of the inane claims that you have made thus far.
It is my understanding that yes, it is indeed the comparison before/after Youtube takes money. Would you care to present an alternate explanation for the difference then?
I have not seen a single Adsense ad on my mobile device ever. I'm sure BBTV isn't the only network that has mobile monetization, but like I said I can only go with my experience. Though experiences may be outdated and I'm sorry for presenting outdated comparisons. I do understand that ad bidding does go on, but when I see a non-adsense ad on a mobile view, I don't think "oh, this is made possible by adsense." I could be wrong on this, I'll openly admit, I just don't think it's adsense itself facilitating mobile ads.
Whatever, I guess I misunderstood some things. And thank you for the image, ArtFX. Though it seems like the Impression vs Playback is almost exactly a 45% cut. And yes, the network does offer to state CPM post-cut, pre-cut, etc. Maybe someone can help me understand how Youtube cut works then? All sources and articles make me believe it is 45%. Example: variety.com/2013/biz/news/youtube-partners-reduce-their-reliance-video-site-1200563738/
So you can understand that it's not just me that is misinformed. Or maybe you are misinformed? Hm.
