BroadbandTV: really, really, really lame CPMs? [BBTV and subsidiaries]

Sorry, once I find out that an organization has been robbing people blind, you don't get a second chance.
I definitely think this is super important and can't be overlooked.

To offer something incredibly inferior to others and claim everything is A-OK is morally wrong.

What was your CPM in may?
Not sure, I only started making videos as a hobby and never montised them through YouTube because I'd heard all sorts of horror stories from people that had done so. When I was offered a partnership I took it because I wanted to be able to use custom thumbnails!
However I must say I feel pretty exploited. Prior to this increase I'd had well over 100,000 views on my channel while partnered with them and made a grand total of 11 dollars.

While not every view is monetized, I would still be expecting at least $1 per 1,000 views.
To say that you were exploited would be an understatement.

If you wanted to check, look up the email they sent you with your payment info... it should have this info:

1) Revenue
2) Monetized Views

Do this:

Revenue / (Monetized views /1000)

That is your CPM.

I was recently approached by a viso bbty recruiter he kinda reluctant to give me in depth answers as I really hacked him for relevant info my gut reaction has been telling me to go it alone as much as I not liking the depreciated you tube earnings as of march 2013 I get now even more page views and more subs more clicks and the pay is less I cant seem to get a straight answer on the adsense forums. From what I have been reading here about viso I know my answer is no. If curse sounds like a better deal then maybe I consider. I read where once a publisher leaves adsense to a network they can no longer return and apply for adsense in the future does any body know if this is true.

That's not true. You just have to reattach your Adsense once the partner link is removed.

That's hardly been proven by those claiming to be former employees. Everyone can make claims of all sorts. That doesn't make them true. I would like to see some hard evidence to this before I believe it.

In any case, I think it's only fair to tell you all that I just received my first revenue report from TGN and the RPM I got is far from the low levels everyone keeps claiming. Almost $5,- RPM (so CPM is even higher). In my book that's pretty good, especially for a channel as small as mine.

BBTV is one of the networks that contacted me through youtube. After a couple of emails, I was not interested in their offers. I guess I dodged a bullet but i kind of seen it coming..

You were contact by a recruiter, they earn 20% which is still poop if you've seen cpm

I do 6 million views a month. Even at the rediculous $5 CPM that I was told, if the recruiter gets 20%, he gets $1 CPM, his take is $1,200. That's not chump change.

No matter who contacted me, the offer was rediculous given my channel size. If they were a recruiter, they made BBTV look bad.

The recruiter get a cut from BBTV, not you
