Breaks and Hiatus's? How long is too long

Everyone needs to take a breather eventually from their channel. I have recently come across the same issue myself due to a move. So my question is simple. How long do you guys think is too long to stop making videos on your channel?
For us we're taking two weeks right now to allow for a smoother move. But we're still using twitter and the social media methods to stay in touch.
 
well there's no definitive answer, but the shorter the break the better, the longer the worse. There's no maximum or minimum, however the longer you wait the less engaged your audience will be.
 
It all depends on the channel, and the audience.

If you upload daily, taking a week, or even a few days off will not be good.
If you upload weekly, taking a few weeks off will not be good.
etc.

Obviously the shorter the break, the better. The longer you take a break, the more of your audience becomes less active.
 
I think the most time between uploading for me was about 2weeks but that was due to being in work alot at the time. Didn't do my channel any real harm though.
 
You should make a few videos while you still have free time and schedule them to go live on different days, even if they are stretched out over longer intervals.
 
I can definitely tell you that 6 months is waaaay too long. I know that for a fact.

I agree with Kevin, Rubber Ducky, etc. It depends on the channel and content.
