Boycotting youtube!

NIP

Raaawrrr Raaaaawwrr Raaaaaawrr!
Well, because of that stupid google+ comment thing, my friend is boycotting youtube! He will not post anything, but it won't matter be has under 50 subscribers :p

Why doesn't he just turn comments off and make a reddit commenting system? Thats what most of the bigger youtubers are/have done.

Many people also boycotted WrestleMania 29 earlier this year. It ended up being the most financially successful WrestleMania of all time. Goes to show how much boycotting works. :p

I'm sure all the boycotters, including your friend, will come back in due time. There's *no escaping the grasps of the Youoogle machine.

With every change Google has ever made to YouTube there has always been a boycot or petitions and a lot of angry people. But it won't change anything. They may update a feature that needs updated but they WILL NOT go back. Google does not bend over for anyone. They make decisions based on money and they do extensive research on how to make the most money from their services. Having said that they make money from views. Having said that the money they are making are from our videos getting views. So Googles decisions are to in fact help us receive more views so they can make more money.

Learn it love it work with it.

I don't get why everyone feels alright about YouTube forcing this on us. I for one will not stand for it, I refuse to "suck it up" or "deal with it," I will forever curse Google+ in my videos from this point on until it is removed. I am pretty sure this is going to do little to nothing at all, but hey, it's better than admitting defeat and putting on a fake smile.

Indeed, I do agree there are some big issues with the new system, but the majority of the new features are great. Now if only the comment moderation thing would work that would be much better. I have more than 20 so called 'spam' comments which aren't actually spam and I have no way of approving those comments since the comment review thing doesn't work... :furious:

I think once they sort out the spam filter issues and stop people posting links again it wont be so bad

Not happy about it, but i had my rant so now i'm trying to accept it and move on

This may be one they go back on then... because of this anf future updates (under NDA) some bigger channels are looking to expand off of YouTube (TV, Vimeo, Blip.TV, Twitch etc)
I highly doubt it. They may expand off but they won't see the results they would get on YouTube. In the first night of the switch I noticed an increase of views on my small channel. I'd love to see the increase of results on bigger channels. Whether they like it or not it's working. And working well.

I can +1 this, my views are slowly going up since the update as well. Not much, but when I look at the past two weeks it's an increase from 4000 views a week to 11.000 views a week, so that is almost 200% extra growth. Now part of this comes from me doing more videos now, but I highly doubt that just because I now do 6 videos a month instead of 4 my views would go up with 200%
