Blue Snowball? Reviews Please

They are OK considering they're USB mics. Depends on HOW good you want to sound.

For me, I wouldn't buy anything new (unless your sound is unusable) until I saved up for a little mixer and a Heil Pr40 for voice work.
ok thanks for the reply. I think i'll just go with the snowball. From the videos I've seen, they do sound pretty good for the cost

usb is better than other adapters, because its high speed, and transfers data and power. which means you ccan have just one input and still have high power which makes the mic better

Uhh... that is 100% false.

I'm not sure what "other" adapters you might be referring to but, just letting people know that this information is completely misdirected and untrue.

usb can carry power and can carry data. you charge your phone from a usb, but you also connect it to a pc with a usb. there for it carrys power and data. belive me, its not hard to figure out. and by other adapters i meant the default audio jacks.

Look man, I know a USB cable can power AND carry data simultaneously but this has nothing to do with a microphone and its quality. If you really want to get into this, I'm an audio engineer...

There are insanely high quality mics that require no extra power. Also, what I listed as being the "best" option in this realm of recording really is the "best" option. The Heil microphone uses XLR inputs and that's why you get the mixer for the phantom power.

You cannot compare a USB (digital) microphone to an analogue mic signal in the way you are. It just doesn't make any sense.

im saying that if you wanted one with one adapter and better power the usb would be better

Ok. We'll just have to agree to disagree because I don't get it :D

HOW the mic is powered has nothing to do with its quality. There's no such thing really as "better" power in this situation.

Its a great buy, excellent quality for the price. Plus its has the added factor of just looking tops. I would recommend a pop filter also it really is a necessity
