Blue Snowball or Turtle Beach Ear Force X12?

Hi everyone. I recently requested two reviews on this forum. One of them suggested a condenser microphone like the Blue Snowball instead of my current microphone, my Turtle Beach Ear Force X12 gaming headset. Do you guys think that the Blue Snowball is worth my fifty-five bucks (due to tax and the pop filter)?

Blue snowball all day long mate there amazing and if you buy a pop filter for it there even better :)

Definitely the blue snowball, the microphones that come with headset's are very poorly made. Here are some comparisons videos if you want some, you can clearly tell the difference in audio quality. The snowball also gives you more frequency ranges since it's a condenser mic which is a good thing because your able to get a nicer sound. The X12 has horrible background noise and noise floor compared to the snowball too.

I have a blue snowball aswell and I would definatly recomend that but the snowball isn't that great to be honest. Its not bad but nothing special, if you can save up another 20£ then you will hit the next stage microphones which I would recomend!

No choice to which is better ? Snowball, also gaming headsets tend to be worse than just buying good headphones and mic because they tend to cut quality on both and you usually pay a lot for branding.

Exactly, falling in those "gaming headset" traps because of all the promoting they do is bad. I'd go with a pair of sennheisers over poor quality razer headsets any day. They are so overpriced as well >< at least turtle beach try

The Blue Snowball is a really good microphone for the price. It was my very first mic, and I would recommend it to anyone. :)
