Blocked Person Now Subbed to Me?!

Hey everyone!

Need some help. Someone I blocked on YT just recently subbed to me. I went to his channel, found the little flag icon, and sure enough my only options were to "unblock" or "report". So clearly he is already blocked. How is he still able to subscribe? How can I ban him/super-block him before he attempts to comment or reach out to me?

I wish YouTube brings this strategy of blocking these people! If somebody knows about it, please let me know too

I just read that blocking someone only means you won't SEE when they like, comment, etc. on your videos. in my opinion that's worse! i'd rather see their s****y comment so that I can delete it! ughhalsdkfjlasdf

on YouTube search for a channel called "Derral Eves" and then look for his video entitled "How to Block Someone on your YouTube Channel - Ban People". That should get you squared away.

that was a great video, thank you! the issue is, this person hasn't commented or messaged me (yet), so i can't "ban" him. my fear is that, since he is blocked, he will comment on a video, I won't see it (since blocked), and thus I won't be able to ban him either. :/

I think the purpose of the video was to ban a user from your channel. As a father AND a husband I know YouTube HAS to have someway of blocking someone.

You CAN block that user, just go to their page and click on their "about" tag as in this screenshot:
