Black lines on thumbnail

I use the average YouTube thumbnail size but on my recent thumbnails YouTube is adding black lines at top and bottom. Does anyone know why these black lines are appearing and how can I prevent it?

What size are your thumbnails? 1280 x 720 dimensions normally do the trick.

I usually have my thumbnails set to 1366x768 and to jpeg format. It always works. I have both photoshop and Gimp but I prefer making them on gimp for some sickening reason just try that and maybe you will get the same results I get with my thumbnails

i reckon its pic monkey, ive personally never seen this problem before xD
