Big YouTubers Not Really Friendly?

Loving YTtalk
I have seen some (not all) big youtubers who just don't seem to really care much about their audience. Even though they say they do. A lot of these people do not make attempts to communicate with their fans. Have you noticed this? Obviously, you wouldn't be able to reply to every single comment but, but I feel bad when I am scrolling through comments and tweets and I see someone saying "Oh "insert name here" I love your videos!" The least you could do is thumbs it up or favorite the tweet. (if you see it) which a lot of youtubers say they read "ALL" the comments.

I don't know, maybe Im wrong. I'm not saying those youtubers are bad people. Just think their audience should be appreciated more. What are your thoughts?

I do agree with you that lots of big YouTubers don't really show enough love to their audience. It's a shame, really, but there comes a point where a big YouTuber can no longer keep track of his/her followers/subscribers comments.

Perhaps what can be taken out of this is that your audience is the very same people that give you views and grow your channel. Yes, you provide them with entertainment, but that's not thanking them enough for sticking with your channel and returning to watch more videos.

Maybe all the big youtubers should put aside one day a month and call it fan appreciation day where all they do is like, comment, and (maybe even) sub to a few fans, just to give back to the community :D
That's an excellent idea! If I had a bigger channel, I could totally see this working out really well...
Would you mind if I steal your idea and try it out one day on my smaller viewer base?

This is true, sometimes the only reason they say they "care" is due to the people being their money makers.

While it's true that they can't reply to all comments, but it won't take that much effort to reply to someone who wrote a genuine comment, i agree with the fact that the "i love your stuff" comments are sort of unrepliable, you can't say much other than "thanks", it sort of dull of you ask me.

However some people make effort to criticize a video or ask about something, it sometimes is nice to reply to those people.

I have such a small viewer group at the moment where I can take the time to welcome them, thank them and things like that. In the future my family and I still plan to try to keep up with it as much as possible. I do agree about the "Fan Appreciation Day" but I honestly think it should be youtube as a whole that does this. Even if it is only once every few months or something like that. Lots of people are generating decent money from this and should do more then go to "meet and greets" where people have to purchase a ticket just to meet them. (Yes, I am aware that the youtubers generally do not set these prices or sometimes do not recieve money for doing the meets)

I guess it thats thing of someone like Zoella who has 7 mill can't reply to every single tweet, comment etc she gets cause theres only so much time in the day.
