BIG problem with Quizgroup

One search of your name besi112 in google shows you posting on blackhat forums, so it's no wonder you got terminated. But beside that yea, quiz group is rushing to unlink all the channels with copyrighted stolen content because come september if they have too many copyright strikes youtube will completely shut down their network and then they won't be able to make money at all (which they should anyway considering quiz network didn't care about stolen content until this threat arose).

Sensei come with best answer :)

problem is that they are spreading this like crazy on all sorts of forums. This is a shame. This type of unfunded and unreasonable scam claims can seriously hurt a company, but in the end the choice is simple, either keep the license or close business.... the answer is clear....

Not saying the users uploading copyright content are in any way right but they are not the only ones at fault here,

QuizGroup has always before accepted all these channels, regardless of the fact their content is not their own and paid them out for that content too.
Now it's probably within QuizGroup's legal rights to withhold these channels earnings but is it really theirs to keep either? It's still stolen revenue but now almost twice stolen, first from the original content creator and second from the person who stole the content (Who was of course, wrong and a thief) who was lead to believe they would be paid out regardless of their content being copyright.

So the channel is at fault, hugely, in no way am I denying that but the only reason QuizGroup is unlinking these channels is because YouTube will shut them down if they won't, they've been letting these type of channels into their MCN for years.

The not paying out revenue part is their choice, when you have an MCN made up of alot of copyright channels and then suddenly YouTube cracks down and says you cannot have copyright channels I suppose they decided to hold onto all the revenue those copyright channels have earned in the past that has not yet paid out because well their Company revenue is going to drop in multiples once they no longer have that % of monthly earnings from all the copyrighted channels anymore!

TLDR; I'm of the opinion that forced or not, unlinking copyright is the right way to go for any MCN.
But I believe they should either pay out the revenue to their content-stealing partners or give it back to the copyright owner, it's not really theirs to keep all of.

Shane, i agree with you. Quizgroup has fault in having this type of thing going on but, the channel owners new where they were getting, they new that someday quizgroup or even youtube would crack down on them. There are no innocents here. Now the money that stays in Quiz Group accounts in all fairness should be refunded but we all know what will happen....

I am agree, but Quiz not the only one who faced off with such a problem. More or less almost any BIG Network were in a similar situation.

PS: I think Quiz partners can thank them for what they were the only one company that honesty pays money for any content (of course, I'm not justify pirates), including blocked channels, unlike of other networks (we all know them), which keeps all the revenue for themselves in any case.

Apart from when they don't :P Because with these unlinked channels, the email they sent out says they won't be paying the channel.
I honestly don't expect that money will be going back to whoever owned the stolen content either.

So the money from the video was first stolen by the person who copied the video and re-uploaded it and then by the MCN that got in those copyright-uploading creators promising they would still payout the revenue who are now not paying out the revenue.

I still believe it will be returned back to advertisers)
