One of my channels is dedicated - sort of - to hair product reviews and what I can say is that your title is key! I receive a lot of views - well, a decent number of views - even though I'm a new youtuber.
On my newer channel however, I haven't received a lot of views, simply because I just vlog there, and though I try to make titles that are search friendly, I'm still not receiving much views, but I do reply to other youtubers.
