Best Video Editing Software? - Free or Cheap(ish)

So, im looking for a free or cheapish video editing software, i would like to be recommended before i buy it or use it, and what do you guys use also?

Sony Vegas 12 or 13 or even 11 works. Good and you can also do professional editing!

Camtasia Studio 8 gives you a month's free trial, if you use another email and re-download it, it will give you another months free trial, and so on. However I am not telling you to do that because it is "wrong."

Well I use Corel VideoStudio Pro x6 and I wouldn't say it's cheap exactly ($80) but it's definitely worth it it's really user friendly and while its not a Sony Vegas caliber of editing it gets the job done and once you get used to it you can do some really cool things with it
