Best thumbnail??

Hey guys, what is the best tumbnail software that I can use to make thumbnails etc? cropping stuff without the background etc?

Photoshop, GIMP, Paint.net

It's not the programs that make the thumbnail great, it's what you do with the thumbnail. You could essentially use any program and make a great looking thumbnail.

Photoshop is very good but costs, then there is gimp which is free and is like photoshop, and some use paint too. They're all good for thumbs, just depends on how good you are

Photoshop is great, but if you don't want to pay you could try Paint.Net, Gimp.

You could get photoshop free illegally, but I definitely wouldn't recommend it

there is not 'best thumbnail software' it depends on your technical know-how, if you are experienced then Photoshop is perfect for you, if you're not than you can still make quality thumbnails using Paint i would recommend photoshop or GIMP if you are a advanced gfx person or have slight knowlege on how to edit

CS2 is free now. or art least it was. thats how i got photoshop. heard its free due to it being so old... is that correct?

I'd go for photoshop, yeah CS2 is free as MRskerzzz and is pretty much everything you need for basic editing such as cropping and removing background items, i use Cs2 for all my thumbnails. Try looking on their website and it should have a list of all their old versions Hope this helps.
