Best Subreddits For YouTubers

where did you post? I've been researching the site and I understand why you get hated on. They have a strict no promotion policy. The spirit of reddit is "Hey look what I found on youtube!" Not "check out my channel!" It's even in their terms of service. That's why when you post your own videos, you often get lots of hate. I'm curious how your experience went so well...

I just post to the videos section, what will happen is either it will get a few views and no engagement or someone will comment, then I'll comment back and then they sub, its only happened twice but I haven't received trolls. I didnt advertise my channel so you might be right. I just posted the video with a title relating to the video that I thought people would click

Wow. Reddit seems like a harsh place. I myself have never tried using the site whatsoever.

Think of how we react to spammers. We may not flood in and dislike their videos, but it pisses us all off, and we're like the nicest forum on the planet. When you post yourself on reddit, you're a spammer to them.[DOUBLEPOST=1371238009,1371237963][/DOUBLEPOST]

AH! They don't realize it's you yet. Keep posting only your videos and they'll catch on hahahaha

I have never really used Reddit much for anything, apart from interacting with the community ages ago. I think it would be nice to stay active on there for the community aspect, and finding entertaining videos, but due to the rules, it isn't a place for you to advertise your channel.

Then I good sir am perplexed hahahaha that doesn't gel with everything I've heard about reddit, and I've been researching as I'm going to try hard to break in their without having to spam myself.

Well maybe someone in here would be super nice enough to get one of my videos and go a post in reddit. I mean MAYBE!! LOL

Where does everyone else post?

The only times I've bugged the guys on Reddit - is when I was legitimately asking for advice. I posted one of my videos as an example, and asked them how to help me not suck at the game :) They were receptive, and I got a CRAP TON of upvotes.. and a couple hundred views.

Make your post substantial and meaningful, and not just spam, you'll be good.

This was on the FTL sub-reddit

We should organize an advertising team who just say. "DUDES! Check out this video!" And then we can all go on there and like that thing to the top of the Reddit and stream in viewers!
