Best Screen Capture device?

Hey Guys! Awkward here and I am wonder what is a good free screen capture software to capture Minecraft,Happy wheels etc.. I don't like pirating or downloading software Illegally and I'm just wonder what I could use to make some minecraft videos.
 
Afterburner for Minecraft and CamStudio for Happywheels. Hope it helps, both are fully free and Afterburner can be used as a GFX overclocker. :)

Screen capture devices are usually mainly used for recording console gameplay footage (correct me if im wrong). The paid version of fraps works really well for me, but I've heard good things about Afterburner

If you have a HDMI output on your card or DVI->HDMI conveter you can use HDPVR to record, FRAPS works very well for me, also DXTory, both cost though.
 
I already have the paid version of fraps and love it! But im a much better console gamer than pc gamer (at the moment) so most montage worthy moments are going to come from that

In some cases, PC recording can be cheaper, if you already have a PC, you just need recording software and FRAPS afaik costs around $30-40, but for console, it's a must to have a HDPVR with average costing $200! And I get the latest fraps off my friends. ^_^

Ya it gets pretty pricey but hey its for something I love!
