OBS if you have a single graphics card.

If you have SLI you want Nvidia Shadowplay, if you have Crossfire you want AMD Gaming Client Evolved.

But if you are just looking to Stream over Twitch you might be forced in to OBS which will significantly lower your FPS with a dual GPU setup.

None of those, haha. Nvidia Shadowplay has been my friend so far, and it works great!
MY MAN! ShadowPlay will ALWAYS be better than any other recording software because it uses most of the GPU's V-Ram (idk if all) to do all the hard work.

OBS can compete when using HEVC (h265) but most online video providers (such as YouTube) haven't adopted the codec.

If you have an NVIDIA graphics card - Shadowplay
If you have an AMD graphics card - Afterburner

I use Action at the moment - gave me the best results honestly.

Recently managed to get OBS to work, performs pretty good. However I got used to Action - easy to use.

Also tried ShadowPlay some time ago, and the only game I tried it on was League of Legends. Was decent, however had sudden, short-duration FPS drops which I disliked. Action gave me more FPS throughout the entire game. This can be, maybe, because I use a laptop to record (ASUS RoG with Nvidia GTX 960M)

Try it again man you won't regret it! Don't use beta as it doesn't always start ShadowPlay when you boot your PC up.

It's odd because I used Action and I've experienced FPS issues on H264 and HEVC (less on HEVC).

I recommend Shadowplay if you have installed Nvidia card. Otherwise, I think you can try a recording tool named as ShowMore which you guys may not know. It is much better to use when compared to other similar programs. You can try it from Cnet.
