Best recording setup for gaming!!

Out of curiosity, why don't you record into Audacity or just right into Elgato? Seems like you're wasting more time exporting all that stuff into QTPro.
I use either OBS or Xsplit. Because I use my webcam with it as well, so I need layers. Although it seems like the elgato records a better picture in 1080 than Xsplit or OBS does.

I used to do it actually! But my computer would struggle running audacity with my elgato software. Not sure why. So it would skip in random parts and make the timing of the whole video off by a second or two. Now I use two computers so I just use audacity now.

I still use the old trusty FRAPS. dxTory actually crashes some of the old games, so I cannot use that.
I'm considering using an Elgato for PC capturing, but I think I'll need a new Mic before I do that :)

I use Dxtory for video (+ Handbrake encoding because Adobe hates VFR videos), Audition for voice, and if I use a webcam, I record that with Debut.

Then mash it all together in Premiere, or through After Effects if I need visual effects like a death counter if I die a lot.

I didn't know you could do stuff like that in after effects! I will have to try that out!
