for me i find windows live movie maker is the best for me, its simple and easy to use and you can upload directly to YT or save in a file that you need it for "iphone" example

sony vegas is by far the best, but requires a bit of know how, i tend to use vegas for difficult edits and if i'm doing something simple i just use Powerdirector 10 :D

i disagree with this. I've solely used Windows Live Movie Maker and it gives me nothing but headaches! It'll freeze, it'll crash, preview doesn't work if you've been playing it too long, etc. (I could go on and on about it) The last video I did was a larger project than I normally do, and the program just made the whole thing a lot harder than it needed to be.

as for best, I'm not sure (since I've only used one). hoping to upgrade to Adobe Premiere Pro some day

I use WMM only because I dont have the $$$ for anything decent as yet, I'd sure like to get Powerdirector one day.

I use Sony Vegas 10 for editing and its a very powerful tool for some basic editing.

Yh it seems good i just find it to complicated for me that is[DOUBLEPOST=1350166331,1350166286][/DOUBLEPOST]

if ur having these problems then that sucks no wonder u dislike then :)

I know I'm taking you a bit too literally, but out of the "Movie Maker" versions, from what I understand the older version 2.6 of Windows Movie Maker is better than the newer "Windows Live Movie Maker". They dumbed it down in later versions. I remember years ago having to switch back to 2.6 in order to have a bit more functionality.
