Best lighting for filming youtube inside

I live in Canada and it's super dark here in the winters too so I can relate. Personally I've solved my problem by shooting somewhere close to a window so that there's natural light. I then use shape masks in Final Cut to do any final lighting touch ups. It's not a perfect solution, but I am on a tight budget so that works well enough for me!

PS - Good to see you're back on the video kick, I thought for a minute that maybe you'd decided to stop!
