Best capture software for recording games?

I used to use an hd pvr 2 gaming edition to do my recording, but now I started using something that actually comes from the computer called xsplit gamecaster and it works beautifully, for free it can record up to 720p and records facecam, and microphone audio as well, I have hardly any complaints about it! and it's pretty user friendly

I think OBS is quite good, it's pretty light, its free and its easily customizable. I tried a few times for fun and it worked nicely.

OBS is great, plenty tutorials if you need help as well

OBS is the best by far.
Shadowplay is alright if you have an NVIDIA graphics card above 600 series.
Some people use Fraps but the file sizes are massive.
Some people use Dxtory but its 30$ and a lot more hassle for what ends up being the same results as OBS.
I have no experience in Bandicam.

OBS is great because it is completely free, fraps has amazing quality but it has huge file sizes and limited options, not to mention it drops your FPS, personally Dxtory is the way to go, multiple audio inputs, hardly any fps hit and smallish file sizes with a lot of customisation
