Being a "Small Youtuber."

Hi my is Tylan LeDuff :)

This is my first thread yay!
I make comedy/entertainment videos on YouTube!
I am a small YouTuber, I started on June 2015 and have 140 subscribers.
I can honestly say being a small YouTuber has its ups and downs.
When you upload a video you will probably get around 30 views in about 15-24 hours(depending on your content).
There are a lot of friendly small youtubers out there that cant wait to grow with you! Then there are those who feed off of you to get views or subscribers, which is eh that's their personal life :p.
I am glad to be apart of the YouTube community and can't wait to grow and meet new YouTubers like you guys! :)

What are you thoughts on small youtubers?
Please leave comments I would love to chat with you guys!
Thanks for reading!

Honestly being a small youtuber is dope and really sucks, on one hand you get to make all these cool conmections with awesome content creators and you get to grow as a person and show your dedication, on the other hand at times it can feel like your not going anywhere!

I wouldn't have it any other way though!

Welcome to the forum man! Yeh the thing u said about some people trying to just get views out of you is true

Thanks dude! And yeah I've noticed that.. I actually had a situation like that happen to me.. good thing I'm a bit smart :p[DOUBLEPOST=1440043130,1440043081][/DOUBLEPOST]

I agree!!! Dream big and achieve big! Keep going for what you desire don't let it go. :)

I just restarted YouTube a few day ago. Trying to get my friends who like my content to bring their friends. But who knows Maybe I will sometime grow. I feel the pain of being small.

Well done I would have to say just keep on making content that you like and do it to a high standard then you will be onwards and upwards.

I agree completely with you. You have to start from the bottom to reach the top :)[DOUBLEPOST=1440095841,1440095795][/DOUBLEPOST]

Being small isn't necessarily a bad thing. You will look back n your old videos once you get bigger and see how much you've grown xD

It's not too bad! Honestly once I started getting 10 views at least on each of my videos, I didn't worry so much about numbers and such. I was just glad people were commenting and enjoying as well as constantly returning. I made quite a few friends and while it was a struggle at first, the fact that I'm already only 12 subs away from 100 makes me feel like I'm doing good! And I have fun in each and every one of my videos, so I don't mind. Though looking back at my old videos, I just want to cringe...

I made a video on this exact thing last night! I even included a link in the description to 3 other small Youtubers who I watch on a semi regular basis.

I enjoy making videos and I hope that people enjoy what I bring out as well, but sometimes it feels like I'm doing it all for nothing. Most times I'll publish a video and then forget about it for a day or 2, and when I go back to it there are comments and views and whatnot, then other times I'll publish a video and the obsessively check the stats every couple of hours.

It's great having a channel, but it's even better interacting with people :)

I'm new to the forums as well! But, already - they're awesome!

I'm a small YouTuber, currently at 153 subscribers! On one hand this is awesome and on another it's frustrating.
I myself, like every YouTuber hope to gain more and more subscribers everyday, it is such a slow process to get noticed etc.
I got to 153 in over 1 year - it takes a long time!

Small Youtubers are great, I think smaller YouTubers make better content than the majority of the the big/popular YouTubers, they are the ones I believe which create the fun, loving Youtube community because they love to socialise and engage with other people. We just hate that it is such a challenge to get a 'following' or an audience as this makes it all worth while - knowing we have people that enjoy are content. Us small YouTubers work together and make a really great community.
