Becoming a Popular Gamer?

On my channel I post Minecraft videos(idgaf if it's main audience and players are little kids). But Minecraft is the most popular thing on YouTube and it is going to be very hard to get popular in this. I was thinking of expanding to CS: GO and possibly chess. Is this a good idea, and what are some tips for expanding an audience and doing it well?

I will give some input for this one. It's not easy getting a bigger audience on Youtube since other people are doing the same thing as well. There are a lot of bigger Minecraft Youtubers that take up the search engine on Youtube so it's more difficult for smaller channels to actually get their videos shown on the top.

I know there is some videos on youtube that can help out on how to get a bigger viewer base and subscriber base. I would suggest playing any game you want but also expanding to other games, even games that aren't put on youtube much. It takes a loooong time for a bigger audience to appear but it's always good to start small and work your way up.

You don't need the quality of your videos for now, you will need better content and be yourself or entertain the viewers. Also interact with them if they leave a comment or even say Thanks for subbing.

Consider something besides Minecraft because you are a drop in the ocean to hundreds of thousands or millions of other Minecraft videos on Youtube.

Yup you should variety of games so that you get noticed by either of them
Play as many different games as you can

It´s very hard to get popular on anything on YT. Especially gaming. There aren´t good ideas about gaming these days. Pretty much everything has been done to death. Choose whatever gives you more pleasure.
