Average edit time

I normally spend at least 10 hours editing my videos but that’s because I upload gaming montages which are essentially clips edited to be funny or epic. It’s obviously a lot faster when the video is short (around 3-4 minutes long) but now that I’ve increased the length of my montages nearer to the 10 minute mark, it takes a lot longer to edit. I enjoy it though, so as long as you’re having fun there’s no problem in it taking ages to make the final project.

I mostly takes me several hours on several days, so I can't really name a number. I made some travel videos and if you're gone for 2 weeks you get a lot of footage. So going trough it and picking out shots takes a lot of time. Then putting it together, maybe do some slight colour corrections, suddenly come up with a new idea and switch footage or put i in a different order, cutting it again is also taking forever sometimes haha. Worked for about 1 1/2 weeks on my latest video, it's 6:50 mins long.
I know exactly what you are talking about in regards to travel videos. They do take a long time.

For other type of content, like product reviews, it will depend on the skills of the creator. For a beginner like me it takes me a lot of trial and error to get the right shots and commentary. It probably takes me an honest 5-8 hours for a 6-10 min video. I do spread edit time accross multiple days.

Generally about 1 to 2 hours per minute of video, not counting time to render. Most of my videos are music videos so that also includes editing the audio.

me, depend the project.
on Job can take very longtime, on my short film can go from one week to 3 weeks, i'm never satisfied. When i edit it has to done well.

It used to take me about 5-6 hours to edit 5 min worth of video but I've been able to cut that down to 1-2 hours per 5min of video after getting some experience both in editing and being in front of the camera.

Editing take HOUUURRSSS, even days, I think many because I don't know how on earth to use all the editing effects yet. It takes me time to google stuff while editing in order to get it all together. And I think a better mic would help with sound frequency when I listen to it over.

I typically record in bulk but I'd say on average it takes me about 7-8 hours to put together one of my videos on average (It can go as high as 10 if I try to do something particularly intricate) the overall process at its best can work out as 4 finished edits a fortnight from intial screening to final export :)

I usually go in with a plan of how I am going to edit it, so as long as all my software is working and my laptop doesn't decide to freak out on me it usually takes me 30 minutes. That includes the time it takes to export the video and process everything. My videos aren't that complex YET. Hopefully someday they will be though.

I’m terrible at keeping time while I’m doing something, so I don’t know how long they normally take. I did look at the time once when I was going to start on a new video. That means from the point I decided what to make my next video of, before even looking for video sources for it. This one took a little bit to find good video sources for. I worked on it until it started uploading and I looked at the time again. It had been 30 minutes.
