Autorefresh plus to boost views on video- a bit "blackhat"?

i'm not 100% sure if that will get you banned, it might depending if they notice that a close to all views are coming from the same IP but seriously, I don't know why people try to grow something that's not ready because yea it will make your views go up to 300+ and then freeze but the thing is youtube does checks and that is when you lose the views and possibly get in trouble but that's what youtube states anyways :P
 
If it is just a plugin to refresh your browwser every second then your audiance retention will be extremly low, also all the videos will be from the same IP/MAC address.

I would suspect YouTube would act as you have left two easy to see footprints of foul play, I would suspect they would ban the account.
 
There are always going to be "easy" ways to do things, but in reality most of them hurt more than they help. It's always safer to stay in the clear and doing things the right way. That way you never risk being penalized.
 
I think youtube changed the way their search engine worked a while ago making audience retention (or watch time) one of the biggest factors in how high a video is on a search result, so getting 1000 views, fake or not each having a couple of seconds watch time will not help grow a channel or help at all, it just tells youtube that everyone who watches the video gets bored/dislikes what they're watching and so the chances of your video being related or found in a search are really low. As some people say it would do more damage than good.
