Audio & Video Doesn't Sync on Cyberlink YouCam 6

I've Got It
Hey everyone!

I have had this laptop for about 4 months and all of a sudden, the volume on the audio was reduced in my videos. I reset my laptop to original state and the audio problem was fixed. But now the audio and video do not sync. As you all know, the first draft of a video is always the freshest and I can't keep recording the videos over again. Can anyone tell me how to fix this problem or recommend a way to have a more reliable webcam?

Thanks!

Hello,

So you're recording footage using a webcam and the sound and video are both captured by the camera? You don't use other means of recording sound?

Have you had a look in your audio devices checking that the levels are set correctly? You could also manually check for, and download any new drivers for the camera.

What editing software do you use? Is it possibly the video/audio files are being knocked out of sync during editing?

Good luck!
James.

No. They are not affected during editing because before I edited them I watch the video on the Youcam program and it does the same thing. This is awful.

Would you be happy to share some more technical details? What make of webcam is it? Are you using Mac of PC?

Yes! It's the HP Envy. It's the Cyberlink Youcam 6 that comes with the computer. This is my first time having this issue ever and I have used cyberlink to record my videos for 7 years.

Is it possible that you have insufficient processing power to watch a preview of the files? When you take them into an editor do you have the same issue?

Have you tried a variety of settings? IE. File types, frames per second ect ect. Does the same problem occur?

Yes, when I take them into SOny Vegas it is the same problem with lagging. This laptop is only 4 months old so I do not see how I would have processing problems already.

Very strange indeed. I would give the supplier a call - I'd like to think they will have an answer for you. Sorry I'm unable to help you further; must be very frustrating!!

Good luck!
James.
