Audio Sync Problem - Gaming

Hey Guys! I am having a huge problem getting my audio synced up to my video as I do commentaries for like COD and stuff. I used to use Sony Vegas pro 12, but I switched over to WMM because it seemed simpler. I got one video completely right. But now, when I try to sync audio, it syncs in the beginning; but slowly becomes un-synced. If anyone has any advice on how to fix this PLEASE help me out. ;P

I honestly suggest using Sony Vegas since you have it. I am unsure how to fix your syncing issues, what kind of video is it that is out of sync?
 
You could use Dxtory to record both gameplay and microphone and then edit it with Sony Vegas and Audacity/Audition .

Are you recording gameplay of a PC/Console based game? I can try to help you out but I need more info on which first :)

That or Camtasia & Fraps :) --those are both strictly for PC recordings & the audio will record alongside the gameplay so it won't be out of sync!
 
How do you record audio/video on your console?
if you are recording video and audio separatly it may that the FPS on the video is not consistantly, and therefor the audio will not be in sync.

I am using my Pc to record gameplay from a Ps3 based game that is also on PC. I record the gameplay from my ps3 and edit it. Thanks btw.
 
I used to have the same issue. My first question for you is, do you have a good computer?

Might seem a bit odd to ask but honestly. It's important. I used to try making videos on a s****y little laptop a while ago. Often times when recording Let's Plays or Live commentaries I would have issues with the audio de-syncing.

Reason being my computer was too slow to keep up with both. So it would chug my audio, record only what it felt was necessary. So after the first few minutes my computer would start slowing down, only recording audio of significant value and cutting the fat.

I didn't know my computer would do that. I was using audacity to record my voice and in the end I came out with de-synced videos.

So I had to get a new computer entirely or run a program booster.

My computer is actually pretty awful... But I cannot just go buy a new computer at the moment. Any suggestions??
