Audio equipment question.

@ Tarmack Thanks a lot I just came back from a bunch of music stores in my area they all basically told me the same thing. So far the route I'm taking now is I'm going to get a condenser mic, found a few for $100-150 one was an APEX I believe, and I found a basic 2 port interface with usb to connect to my computer for $125. I will be using the mic for talking as well but the majority of it's usage will be for recording my guitar. And I was warned about the proximity effect of the condenser, the room I am in is fairly small and I think for what I want to accomplish it should do just fine. I was told the quality of the condenser is better than the dynamic and I think for what I want to do the condenser would probably be a better fit(?) (at home, quiet small room, as opposed to on a stage performing)

Basically what I'll be using it for is recording separate tracks of my guitar and putting them on my computer, using it for some voice(talking), and possible vocals(singing)

I am going to give your forum post a read later on thanks a lot for the help.

I used to have and use the Apex 415. It's not a bad mic by any stretch of the imagination. My use for it was for podcast type vocals, so I didn't test it for instruments or singing.
