You can make your own if you can get your hands on a piece of foam, preferably a small cube, you could just cut out a hole for the mic an stick it on there. You can also get/buy foam in craft shops, sometimes big stores like Walmart or places where they sell fabric.

Yeah, as long as there's not to much tape that blocks out sounds should work... best way though like Gaffer said is to test it out.
