Is it possible to remove background noise from a video that is filmed using the mic thats inside the camera, or do you have to have a seperate mic to be able to do this?

I have just filmed a video and its got that same slight static sound in the background again, but i have no idea if i can do this with the inbuilt mic

Any help would be great thanks!

I don't think you can process video files in Audacity, so firts you'll need to convert the video into an audio only track. Then you can remove the noise from that, mute your original videos sound and add the noise free track in your video editor.

i have done it and in audacity it sounds fine, and there is no noise put it into premiere pro and the noise comes back :(

this sounds similar to when i have headphones plugged into my pc and say im recording something via aux cable into my microphone slot, i need to un tick mute mic, however while this is active there is always a slight hissing, so its there all the time until you click mute mic again. could this be a similar thing? you say its fine on audacity but not on the other program so maybe theres some setting or function on that program thats creating the noise, just like when my mic volume is on

you can hear the noise really clearly with headphones plugged in but without i cant seem to hear it, i know i am doing it right because i googled it as well as followed instructions on here, but whenever it goes back into premiere pro it gives me the noise, so headphone users will be able to hear it really clearly

those litte annoying things that make no sense until you figure it out are just the worse lmao, theres been many times ive messed with software for hours to realise i didnt do the simplest of things to make it work haha, i guess thats just technology for you.

It might just be because of your headphones. I know mine start to play a static sound every now and again without seemingly any reason.

im hoping its just the headphones, as the noise doesnt seem to be there without, or its quieter anyway, but its just annoying as i know a lot of people watch youtube with headphones in, and on audacity it sounded fine so i dont know it its premiere pro or not ergh its annoying
