Asked to use my clips.

I've Got It
Someone has asked me to allow them to use some clips from 1 of my videos. Is there a fee for this that can be paid through youtube?

Did they mention what type of video they were creating? I encourage people to use my stuff for any video aligning with "fair use" considering it's like free promotion. But let's say they are making a film and use your video clip to play on a TV in the background or it goes full screen when characters are talking about said topic. Then to me it would different. I'd write up an agreement/contract going into the detail the amount of footage (that I own) they can use and what that price might ultimately be.

I don't believe Youtube allows transactions between users of any kind. But you could always have them pay you through paypal or some other type of bank transfer.

But that's just my opinion. Hope that helps. =]

Like someone said earlier, it depends on what they are going to use it for, if they use snippets for commentary, than it´s under fair use.
if they are going use the whole clip, you should maybe talk to them about compensation, through paypal if possible!

I've charged people through Paypal, it's up to you to figure out some kind of agreement. I've also had companies that use my clips on TV just put my channel name in the corner for extra traffic if they weren't offering money, most will agree to at least do that.
