Are You Nervous When You Record A Video??

I've recorded a couple of videos now, and it is still really nerve wracking! It's weird, I'm generally quite confident but talking in front of that camera does something to me lol.

Just wondered if other people experienced this and how they got through it (if they ever did....)
 
I experienced the same thing during my first couple months. but after you get comfortable you'll start to see it become more natural for you.

Yeah your probably right. I think consistency is key as well, I stopped started and for my latest video it was really difficult to get through the nerves
 
I get this occasionally - it was really bad when I first started, and now it's only really bad if I haven't made one in a while.

My best advice is to just make the video. Something that nervousness does to me is it makes me hesitant to start. So, I get an idea of what I want to say, write it down if I want, and then I hit the record button. Just start talking! Just do it!
 
I was very nervous during my first videos. Now, I'm more confident. My mindset is that I don't care about what other people think about me. I'm going to do my thing. Try it! It works!

But, I oddly did feel slightly nervous when I recorded the unboxing videos I made for the xbox one, and the scuf gaming controller.

Eventually I'm sure the nerves will kick in again once I decide to do a face reveal and begin to vlog every now and then. But for now, regular gameplay commentaries don't make me nervous. Although, I was nervous when i first began making gameplay commentaries so yea, it is normal.

They go away pretty quick though imo.

Yeah I get nervous, I am working on getting over it. I do find it holds me back from making videos which is a nightmare. I find once I get into them though I feel more at ease
 
I used to be quite nervous, but as time went on and I started recording more and more videos, my nerves started to dispapear and now I feel quite good and natural when I make my content.
