I suppose in a way it's as though you are there Unboxing it yourself except it is someone else - and so you get the feel of what the product could be like/comes with etc - personally I like them myself too always end up watch Unbox therapy or Lamarr Wilson :)

People loooooove unboxing videos. It is a way for them to feel like they are getting what you did without actually going out and spending the money on it. The kid toy unboxing stuff it HUUUUGE also

I like the element of surprise that comes from them, as well as the persons reaction if they get something good. I have a case opening video on my Channel that gained views much faster than the rest of my videos did

For us, our first introduction to 'unboxing' videos was through Ashens. Normally, we aren't a huge fans of unboxing videos ourselves, but if the YouTuber helps make it entertaining (like pretty much anything you do on YouTube) it makes it enjoyable to watch. Usually, we aren't looking for what's in the box when you purchase it, but we know some people are. Big factor for us is just if the YouTuber is entertaining while doing it.

I don't watch them at all, however I am working with one of those monthly subscription boxes on trying to get a box each month as a sponsor thing so I can do unboxings. It's related to my niche so its kind of like a brand deal thing I guess.

wow split on it 50/50, i think what I have learnt has confirmed my suspicions that yes unboxings are popular, and I think I will continue on with them in the future :)

I only watch a select few (mainly beauty-based or geeky ones), as they're essentially allowing the viewers to see the quality and quantity of what you'd potentially be paying for. Last thing you want is to pay like, $20 for something that's relatively sub-par. Anything that's an immersive review of a product is going to go down well with people - it's why Let's Plays are so popular.

Yes I enjoy watching unboxing videos.

As I am on a journey to find the box that contains Chainsaw Charlie. These videos are required viewing.
