I don't think that it's the fact that gaming and vloggers are more popular. I just think they are in much more abundance. Anyone can sit in front of a camera and vlog about their life. It has to be the easiest thing ever to record yourself playing a video game. It's not as easy being a comedian. This is why gamers and vloggers find it hard to promote their channels because there's so many others.

A lot of the people who fall into the "vlogger" category tend to be a mix of vlog/rant/comedy-type stuff. I know my stuff varies between that kind of content. My skits tend to be incredibly weak though, so I haven't done one in a while.
