I've Got It
Hey guys, PakZoric here with another question about youtube video-making. Our question is: Are the first 100 or so subscribers the most difficult to obtain? We think the answer is yes because lets say... 2 people, Person 1 and Person 2, both make basically the exact same content (Minecraft trolls, Let's play, etc.), with the same quality. You would think they would have the same subscriber/view count, but lets say Person 1 started a little bit earlier than Person 2 on youtube and has about 1,000 subscribers, but Person 2 started a little bit after Person 1 and only has 10 subscribers. We would think people would click on and check out the channel with the higher subscriber/view count (Person 1) instead of the smaller channel (Person 2). We are sort of guilty of this too, but we were wondering if thats the case with other people. We also believe after a decent subscriber/view count, they will start growing faster because of the same scenario above. Please reply with a post how long it took you to get about 100-1000 subscribers and if you grow any faster when you reach that point. Thanks for reading! Peace!

I think that getting a lot of subscribers at the start is harder that getting subscribers after, as you are slowly building an audience for your YouTube channel.

I am the road to 100 Subscribers now, This is my goal I need to achieve by the end of this year!

Well in my opinion, the number doesn't matter. When you first start your channel, no one knows about you and no one can really find your videos or anything so of course the first of anything is hard. The first subscribers are the hardest the get because your channel is new and no one knows about you. Sitting around doing nothing waiting for 100 people to subscribe and thinking you will magically start growing like crazy after 100 doesn't work either. You have to consistently put out content and promote your videos.

Ok, we see. Thanks! Also good luck with your goal! We also have that goal, but we haven't gotten really far yet at all, but we have started to improve our video quality![DOUBLEPOST=1373059904,1373059793][/DOUBLEPOST]

Yes we understand you have to work to get it, but it seems alot of people don't. Also, by promoting your channel, do you mean things like post your videos and channel on forums such as this? If so, any other forums I could try or other promoting methods?

Well I'm still a small channel but the first 100 subscribers were definitely the hardest to get. Nowdays every 100 subs just pass on faster and faster. So yeah, just give it time and you'll see. :)

I think that the ride up to 100 is definitely harder than the rest.

I don't think it really speeds up until you hit the 1,000 subscriber mark, though.

I think I got it easy because I only really started making videos by my 160th subscriber :) It differs for each person. Some people are just better because they have many friends to support and subscribe and others have it a bit harder because they don't know where to start.

I have started to output my videos in 1080p, this is good for me, as it shows that I care about my video quality!
I just use Windows Movie Maker, it's simple and does the job for me.

Thanks! We thought we were something wrong. Well, we probably are, but not anything big I hope.
