Are replying to comments that important?

Like, I know replying to peoples comments is nice and important to maintain subscribers and stuff, but if you reply to everyone will it not get to a point where once you haven't got time to reply to everyone people will be expecting it and then be dissappointed or?
 
Replying to comments is a must, but you don't have to reply to all. I'm sure your subscribers will understand, and unless their comment actually needs an answer then I don't see the need to respond. :)

yeah thats what i mean! Because many people say you should interact with EVERY person who comments on a video of yours, but I just thought how logistically that can't always happen and wouldn't make sense!!

It really doesn't matter.

At least you replied to some people, that's what truly matters.
I know some of my favourite YouTubers still talk to their subscribers as much as they can.
 
I'd say do it more and more but as it gets too much obviously stop but adapt to find otherways to interact with viewers. Or maybe just reply to the actual like question or discussion type comments. Comments like "nice video" by the time you have too many comments will just be a pain replying too so create a single message for them. It's what I'd do lol

Luckily I don't get much comments so it's easy for me!
 
I reply to pretty much all of mine (unless they're spam). But that's purely because I'm a small channel and it's easy to keep up with the comments. I will try and reply to as many as I can as I grow.

Also I appreciate it when YouTubers reply to my comments. It makes them seem like they're grateful for all their subscribers.
