Are people more likely to subscribe when..

It's true, this is why it's always hard at first to gain subs/views because people think us with our low counts are irrelevant. : P
 
They just not subscribing you if you has a alot of subscribers, they maybe subscribing you because you have a great content that good for them
 
For all of you who think that getting to a certain level will put your channel on cruise control, it simply isn't true. You have to continue to work at it if you want to continue to grow. It is true that someone is more likely to subscribe to you if you have a larger channel. What you don't know is that they are just as likely to unsubscribe from you if your content sucks. We went through that in May-our content wasn't up to par and our growth fell from 500 subs per day to 300 subs per day. People were still subbing, but we were losing people at an alarming rate. We managed to turn things around over the next 2 months and are now around a 800 sub per day average. If you don't figure out how to stop the bleeding, then your channel can easily go into freefall. I've seen many large channels (including those over 1 million subs) drop a significant number of subscribers over a long period because they were under the illusion that they could do anything they wanted to and everyone would still watch.

Here's the good news. If you apply what you've learned, it gets easier. So the next thousand subs will be easier to obtain than the first thousand. So as much everyone wants to say that its due to sub count, it's more a product of knowledge and experience.
 
It kinda depends on the person, If I see someone with a high amount of subs I will look at maybe 2-3 videos that they have made and if I like them then I will subscribe, I myself are more likely to subscribe with youtubers that are around the same size as me or under maybe 5,000k because I like smaller youtubers as they talk more to their fanbase.
 
Most probably yes, thats why once people hit say like 1,000 they will notice that they will hit their next milestone quicker as more people will see their channel too
 
Yeah, people usually check out channels with a lot of subscribers and videos with many views. Although I don't think that having more followers / views makes a channel better :S
 
I think a point that has not been mentioned here, is that the more subscribers you have, the more word of mouth is out there. Friends tell friends what they like and in the worse case for someone, what they do NOT like! So the more people you have subbed, the more the good word is out there for your channel! So sure a channel with more subs is going to grow faster because more good word is out there, than a channel that no one has heard about. My two cents for what it is worth! ;)
 
Ive actually found sub rate to go up faster since my channel has grown a bit. Definitely a link between the number of current subscribers and the rate at which you attract new subscribers.

That's what I meant with "natural growth". xP I was wondering about growth just because of seeing a higher subscriber amount, no other factors in play. ;p
