Are Intros important?

Hi guys I have been thinking today about intros and are they really important to our videos? I mean you put a 5-10 second intro for example into your video to showcase your name, twitter account etc but they are probably already watching it on your channel. Do you guys think it is sometimes a waste of time or do you have different thoughts on this?
 
Intros are not important. Sometimes it MAY seem like you're more professional, but this is not always the case. 5-10 second intro is way too long. An intro should be 5 seconds MAX.

Thanks for the quick reply on this :) Just something that has been rattling around in my head today. I have been thinking about and even posted about getting one made but to be fair do I really need to. I'm starting to lean towards no if I'm honest

Well, intros doesn't have to be bad. I have an intro! But it's so short and simple, so my viewers won't lose interest. :)
 
nah ;) Its not nessesary xD Outros suit vids better then intros xD Id like to get straight to the point at beginning of tha vid ^_^ Keeping pples attention ;) But if yu are a beast animator then u shuld definately make a intro ^_^
 
Ah ok, since I currently don't have one I just decided to make a quick one which I think could be seen as sorta funny :)

This is what im looking at using for a bit.
