ARE FORUMS THE BEST WAY TO GET MY CHANNEL RECOGNIZED?!?!

Hi my name is Vik, and I have just created a new YouTube channel. I am just trying to figure out what is the best way to promote my videos, and how can I do that. Thanks and go check out my first video to give me any feedback on the video for anything I should change.

Well using forums is not a bad idea, however from what i noticed people just spam their videos or links in them. Forum readers become blind to this type of stuff or even report it. Imagine if someone just threw a rock through your window and said "hey buy this now" you wouldnt take them serious and be angry. Reddit is another rough nut to crack. Most new people will try and spam links on reddit to get views which can destroy you. Reddit people have their own laws and will deal with you fast. I have been part of many Facebook gaming and youtube groups. This is another train wreck of people spamming endless links of videos and no one even watches them.

Posting is all about being trusted in the forum or community and if your not none will work for you at all.

Agreed. I understand the spreading the news of a video/channel is a must, but don't be annoying and spammy.

I have found it helpful. I have had my channel for 1 week but I find I don't spend lots of time on here. I put most of my effort into my videos. I think people can become too obsessed with the idea of getting views and subscribers when if they forgot about all that then your videos will be so much better and therefore people will be draw to you in their own time. I came here for a community and advice, not so much views. I think this has helped. I hope this advice benefits you in some way :)

If you don't feel like doing forums, you can use your other social media, provided you have a decent following of course. If they like your videos, they'll share and then it snowballs and bam you're suddenly pewdiepie or even leafy.

Or pay to advertise your videos.

Agree

The more trusted you get within a community like this, the more likely this is going to be a great way to advertise! Don't join a forum strictly for that purpose of self advertisement. Join to become a part of a community of like-minded people and the traffic will come as you go!

Heh, I only just started forums a few days ago so I can't really say. I know a lot of other people are saying that they are great though! I got a little bump in subs over the night but I don't know if that was the forum or something else. Either way I am having fun on the forum talking to people and doing stuff so yeah! At the very least they are a cool way to meet cool people.
