Anyone See The Amanda Todd Video?

I just watched the video of that poor girl who committed suicide due to excessive bullying...

Personally, I felt like punching the next human being I came across because I just lost all faith.

What do you guys think of it?
 
Yeah I saw that a few months ago. It was sad but (and don't hate me for this)... this is why I think that many teenagers should not be allowed access to the internet unsupervised. All of it started because she flashed some guy online who basically took a screenshot.

I was bullied in school. Badly. I wanted to fit in: but did I ever smoke, drink, do drugs, or make out with boys (etc) to fit in? No! It's a choice, and if you're raised right, you don't feel the need to do these things.

Common sense shouldn't get shoved out of the window because you want to be the popular kid. It's a crying shame, and horrible, but that video alone shows that all she wanted was attention, and this undying need for it ruined her life.
 
Tbh, she did show her tits on camera and went out with this guy knowing he had a girlfriend so she's not 100% innocent. BUT, the bullies were wrong in constantly harassing her and beating the crap out of her for something that could have been resolved through talking it out. Even though what she did was wrong, she didn't really needed to be treated like that to the point of suicide
 
I don't think it was the undying need for attention at all, in my opinion it had a lot more to do with the fact a mistake she had made in the past would not leave her despite every effort to walk away from it. It ended up ruining every aspect of her life to the point where she felt the only escape was death...

It saddens me that she did not get the support she needed, that video was a HUGE cry for help, and did anyone offer their hand?

This was my opinion, and I always got hate for it saying how she was an angel and never did anything wrong, and that I was sick for thinking it.

This is true BUT it takes a certain kind of existing mentality to do that. You're not a girl so you wouldn't understand but very, very few women would be comfortable flashing their boobs online. The percentile is so low it's ridiculous. So for her to do that, she must've been that kind of girl. A bit of a slapper. She was FIFTEEN. 99% of the girls I knew at that age were virgins, hadn't even fooled around and had barely kissed more than one or two boys. So flashing? She knew what she was doing, bullies or not. Nobody who would NEVER do that could get bullied - whilst in the privacy of their own home - into doing such a thing. She hoped it would make her popular.

Just wanna say - I am not saying she deserved what she got: the death threats, and whatnot. But it is clear that Amanda Todd had been mentally ill (depressed/bipolar, etc) for a very long time. It's tragic and it's heartbreaking that someone so young went down that path. But it doesn't meant it was ALL against her will because she made some choices that caused a bad chain reaction. Like it or not, that's fact.
