Gaming Anyone here from Wisconsin with a gaming channel?

I want to make some local Youtuber friends (if that's even possible where I live) that I can exchange ideas and collaborate with, but I don't know anyone in this state that makes videos. I live half way between lacrosse and Madison, WI, (if you were to take I-90 the whole way) so I'd be able to meet in either city and anyplace in between, but it would need to be arranged a week or two in advance in order for me to make it for sure ... trying to think of a good public place to meet, talk, and work on stuff. That's kind of hard without being able to take your office/studio with you, but we could at least meet and talk and decide if we'll be ale to work together after the fact. This site is amazing for bringing Youtubers together to help each other, but half the people I see are either over-seas, or they're in California or somewhere else along the coast and nothing can really replace working/learning together in person. Only other thing I can think of is contacting the "SCORE" organization and seeing if they can connect me with someone in the video production category, and that person most likely won't be doing game videos.

lol, that don't surprise me. Considering how many of my favorite Youtubers are from there, I wish I could just move there myself :wavespin:

LOLOL ... sounds like Wisconsin! :cold: Not too bad yet, but wouldn't have been surprised to see snow a couple weeks ago.[DOUBLEPOST=1414560039,1414520614][/DOUBLEPOST]I guess it don't matter much if you have a gaming channel or not. Besides for looking for someone to collaborate with, I'm still teaching myself how to edit video (using Windows Movie Maker right now) and use photo editing software (downloaded Gimp 2).

I've moved this to the collaboration forum for you. Maybe try searching the forum for "Wisconsin" (search top right) and see what comes up?

Good luck. :)

Awesome! I'm interested in collaborating on pretty much anything gaming related. I see that you do Minecraft on PC ... do you have a PS4? I have a PC, but it's just my wife's laptop ... we might be able to join some servers and play Hunger Games or a Parkour map. If you got a PS4, the update this morning added "share play" where I could invite you to play any game I have even if you don't have it ... single player, you'd be spectating and able to take over to take turns, and local multiplayer works with it, too. I'm working on a secret mini-game map in creative mode while I'm also doing a let's play series ... once my main base in my let's play is complete, I'm thinking about turning the whole thing into a Hunger Game's map for my Playstation Network friends. Hunger Games are pretty popular for YouTube collaborations. I'm also realizing that it takes a lot more time to make a good Minecraft video than it does for most other games, and I'm building a general gaming channel, eventually covering several games, so I'm announcing at the beginning of my next video that I plan to put out one Minecraft video per week. If you got a PS4, you could join me in the new Call of Duty that comes out in 6 days (not sure how soon I'll be able to afford it, but hopefully at midnight on launch day) and any other game I play with multiplayer.

That's the gist of what I was thinking as far as collaborating. We could also give each other ideas and help strengthen each other's channels ... we could even potentially start a new channel together and join forces to make an even better channel than we could by ourselves, but I'm not sure if I'd want to yet. Are you on Facebook? I'm "Joshua Scott Hendrickson" if you want to send a friend request. It should be easy to find with my full name in the search bar, and my profile pic has a GTO Judge in it (from the Dells auto show) and me with my son on my shoulders.

Unfortunately, I don't have a PS4, or any plans to get one. Also not really wanting to start up another new channel. However, it could be fun to play online together a little bit here and there, if you can get Minecraft going on the PC.

I live in Brodhead WI (I'm not surprised if you've never heard of the city, most people haven't, but it is super close to the border of WI and IL, use Google Maps if you'd like to get a more pinpoint accurate view) I also have Minecraft and a PS4 :D The only problem is that I don't have skype, I used to but this whole thing with them trying to update it broke it on my computer. So we'd have to figure out a way to talk, I'd love to make minecraft videos and I wasn't sure on getting the new Call of Duty at all, but maybe once it a few months old and used I'll buy it, not sure though. Another thing is I don't have my driver's license so I wouldn't be able to drive anywhere for us to meet up. Anyways, just keep me in mind if your ever bored, we may be able to figure something out :)
