Anyone ever get the itch to start a second channel?

Ok so this is something I'm considering and most likely I'll do. My current channel is about the soccer fan experience, so the main focus is them. However, if I start a new channel I would like to focus on my everyday life as an individual. I feel like it could be a good idea to separate them both, even though it will be twice the work.

It's not really twice the work. The video creation/uploading would be the same whether you upload them to one or two channels. But I think most poeple forget that everyone has different things they are interested in. I've unfollowed channels because I thought they were lawn channels but then it turns into random walks with their dog, etc. Which I'm sure some of their subscribers enjoy, but I'm not into dogs.

If they had two channels they could have been getting dog lovers in one, lawn nerds in another, and then periodically could cross promote the channels..
