Anyone else get these?

Anyone else get loads of messages from people trying to get you to join networks. Not the actual networks themselves but other YouTubers. Had quite a few of these from random people, anyone else get these kind of messages?

Also I wouldn't join a network at 99 subs, I don't feel I've accomplished anything yet to get the honor of a partnership. I still see it as a big milestone to get one, so I probably wouldn't join one until I got at least 1000 subs, which may take years. Anyone else with this view here?

Edited* To remove the attachment as the guy is on YTtalk and I don't want him to think he's being singled out :D

Virtually every network has recruiters of some sort-most of them use existing members to recruit and some of them rely exclusively on their partners and employ no full time recruiters/managers. As a rule, I don't ever take advice from anyone who has sent me a link with their referral code in it because their opinion may be clouded by the potential for income. I also have never given out my referral code to anyone but Michael-and that was by request so he could see if the code on this forum could be altered to prevent people from posting those referral links. I don't believe in getting paid for bringing someone in-I think that leads to massive misinformation and will bring people into the fold that aren't a good fit, so if someone asks me about networks that I've talked to, I simply give out contact info for people I know within those companies that I know will give informed answers without any pressure to sign a contract.

Thats a good idea and good point, thanks :)

Well said! There are some perks to referral links though. For instance if I were to send you mine I can actually log into our system and see what your contract status is and get more information about what is going on with it. I typically pass them a long as well, but if someone is working directly through me to get partnered I will allow them to use the link so I can monitor the status and give them updates as it goes without them going through extra loops but I'm not sure if every network is like this or not? This one is personally my first set up like it.

Haha, That's actually how I got a bulk of my subscribers. I did a collab with him back when his subscribers paid attention. I got like 2000 subscribers overnight. And I don't think any of them still watch my videos. So maybe that's my problem xD haha

and as for the reasoning for his lack of views. He was doing really well there for awhile. He was collabing with shane dawson and swiftkaratechop and did regular videos, then he kinda fell off and changed up his format and stopped for a while, then when he picked back up a large chunk forgot about him. That's one of the biggest things in this field is to keep on doing it, even if you slow down. Just keep it up because as sad as it sounds it's easy for people to forget about you if you quit posting material. I found that out and I'm sure he did too =X

Oh lol, I didn't know that! That is quite interesting though. But anyway, if you made 11K subs in the past, I'm sure you can do it again since you have the experience and whatnot :)

Unless I'm negotiating a contract for a friend/client, I stay out of it. Their account status on youtube isn't really my concern as it has no bearing on my day to day operations on youtube. And I am definitely not a recruiter and never will be, so I have no use at all for the referral links.

That is definitely the plan! I just need to keep consistent content coming out! =)
