Anyone else deal with loud noise?

I have a lot of background noise since my windows faces the main road (motorway), constant loud cars and people who think their in fast & furious racing down the road all the time, not to mention since it's a main road you get ambulances and cop cars using it a lot so sirens. I use a Shure SM58 hooked up to a audio mixer, the audio mixer allows me to set my gain so It can only pick up my voice when am close to it. It can't pick up as much background noise any more and I plan to get a better audio mixer that gives me more control over gain since the SM58 needs a lot of gain so you end up turning down the windows microphone volume and using audacity to remove any of of the noise floor/ electric current hum. Also investing in XLR microphones and audio mixers I think is really good option since I plan to get an AT2020 later down the line which literally can't pick up much noise especially if it's hooked up to a good audio mixer. I'd watch thecreaturehub videos for their podcasts to see just how good their mic's are.

The AT2020 is allot cheaper mic then what I was looking at so thanks for the great tip.
