Anybody heard of Scale lab network?

I just received a message from them a few hours ago inviting me to their network.

This is part of their message:
• ScaleLab has created the only YouTube community with a focus on speed drawing.

• We'd love for you to be a Community Leader, which means you'll have a prominent place among all other speed drawing channels in our network -- and other channels will look to you to set the standard for great content.

• It's not a paying gig. ☺ It's more of a prestige thing, but it will definitely increase your video views and subscribers.
(I'm an artist and upload time lapse videos which is why "speed drawing" is mentioned.)

I Google'd around for any info on them and this thread was all I found (why I joined just so I could post). I don't know how they found my channel seeing as how I have less than 40 subs. I'm not really sure if it'd be worth it for me to join them seeing as how my channel is so small and they're seemingly new, but I figured I'd make the post anyway in case anyone has any comments on the topic.

I've just received a message from them:

Hi,
Love your channel. I'm actually a big Francophile and I would like to invite you to our French community.
I work at ScaleLab, which is a Multi-Channel Network on YouTube. My job is to find the best French-related channels for our YouTube French Culture community.

Here's the summary, really quick:

• ScaleLab has created the only YouTube community with a focus on French Culture.

• We'd love for you to be a Community Leader, which means you'll have a prominent place among all other French Culture channels in our network -- and other channels will look to you to set the standard for great content.

• It's not a paying gig. :) It's more of a prestige thing, but it will definitely increase your video views and subscribers.

Replace "speed drawings" by "french culture" and it's the same ;)

Okay this starts to smell fishy now hahaa.. Sorry but they focus on everything or what?

(I'm an artist and upload time lapse videos which is why "speed drawing" is mentioned.)

Speed drawing and actual timelapse videos are two worlds apart, how can they see a timelapse video as speed drawing? It's the other way around, speed drawing can be classified as timelapse, not the other way around.

First of all, I am a Chinese(hope that doesn't make you feel bad, I know Chinese is not a good nation), and hope you guys can understand my English.
I have the same situation as you. I have also upload a few videos about some drawing. So I think it would be better if I share the same experience here in case anything happened...

Yeah, I ended up turning them down.

I use both interchangeably (as in essence, they could be the same since "speed" is fairly ambiguous) but I know they're different (like the meaning you described).

I wouldn't judge you for being Chinese, don't worry. Your English is really good :)
I turned them down since I'm wary of them given how they're reaching out to such a wide range of people (and copy/pasting the same messages), not to mention they seem so new and have no reviews. My channel is so small that it's not really worth networking at the moment anyway.

Yup I got something that says about french culture too and that its an unpaid gig and all of that... I wouldn't mind joining to see some other French lovers. But still I'm a bit unsure... I'm sure there's another way to meet people who like french culture

i didnt get a message from them, but i'm looking into them, depending on what kind of deals they offer and how long is a big factor, being a small channel i dont have much to lose. right?
