Anybody ever just discard entire videos?

I record a few gaming videos with friends every weekend now, and I've been discarding a few of them recently because they weren't funny, wouldn't come out long enough after editing, or were just not "energetic" enough (I sound depressing when I don't try to be more energetic lol)

Do any of you just throw out bad videos? Or do you try to salvage them, or make them into montages?

Yeah, I've deleted older videos because they weren't good. If I couldn't enjoy them, how could I expect someone else to? You always want to put the best content on your channel that you're proud of. If they're not up to your standards then you might as well not upload it.

The way I see it man. If I personally wouldn't watch it I don't want other people to. So yeah it totally happens. I try not to get discouraged and use it as a learning experience!

just keep doing it over an over an over again until you get it right. failure leads to success

I do that quite a bit as well. Not as often now, since I'm slowing down currently.

I guess it´s different with gaming channels, but for me discarding a video is a hard step, mainly because i work on them for hours. I made a very political video i did (before i wanted to use this channel for different stuff) private and i will probably release the ironic MLG edit different then i originally planned because it is too flawed to be released on its own (also its too random).

I've deleted videos where the audio quality just wasn't there. It always is a little disappointing though after you spent so much time on them

Yeah, it's always kinda difficult to get rid of a video. Depending on the video, I usually record for about an hour, and it's usually ~30 minutes in to editing when I realize it's not worth doing the rest lol, so not too much.
