Anybody else making original content on their channel?

From what I've realized, there's been alot of Gaming and Vlogging channels out there on Youtube. When I started out my channel, I did gaming videos. I admit, I did have alot of fun making those videos, back when I was still figuring my channel out.

Since then, I've moved away from gaming, and have attempted to try new things, and make different kind of videos. Instead of gaming, I've transitioned to Entertainment/Comedy videos, for the most part.

I try new things because I want to teach myself more skills, whether that be part of the script-writing phase, the recording phase, or the editing phase.
 
Yeahhh hard to make content that's truly "original" considering there's so much on youtube there's always going to be a chance you're copying someone. The key to YouTube nowadays isn't really originality it all comes down to personality. If you have a good personality and are relatable (as well as good content) then you will do well.
 
Yeap that's true.It's really hard to be original especially for a channel like me.Cause I make tutorials,even If I make my own videos people will say I copied other cause lots of people making tutorials these days.But I have full believe on myself that's the reason I'm still doing it :)

I do dog & GoPro videos so that's not really "original", but the key is the way the videos are executed. I can honestly say I've never seen anybody else do anything like my twerking panda riding a Roomba video so I will say that is pretty original lol.
 
DUDE unless you are shooting videos in another god damn planet, or the moon.....I really doubt anyone is filming, editing and uploading any original content.

But if you want to be more on the cheesy side then all content YOU make is original because YOU yourself are unique and no one can be you.

Most people will produce videos about things that they are passionate about. The truth is that there are a huge number of people passionate about video games, so as a result youtube is full of video game material and has a massive audience for it.

My youtube channel really is unique. I work as a yacht broker and am the only yacht broker to produce vlogs about yachts and also television style presentations of yachts. It's a great business tool and also a great hobby.

In my opinion to be unique on youtube it helps if you can forget about fishing for views and subscribers and start to consider how you can use youtube to offer a service. What do you know that you can share with viewers? What can you do that you can demonstrate? What opinions do you have that you can share?

I'm too old and boring to watch video game videos (although I admire the likes of Pewdie Pie who have found such a niche), but youtube is actually full of amazing, and often original, content. You just have to look for it.
 
Something I'd like to make in the future is stuff regarding my country, where I talk about local traditions, everyday life and this kind of stuff, and maybe show some interesting places near me and events I attend. An hybrid between a vlog and a touristical guide.

Yeah I really agree with you. It is really hard to make our own original video cause there's plenty of videos on youtube that might be similar to us. We should think about a good content rather than trying to make our own unique kind of video. Of course we can still do that if we really rich in ideas
