Any tips on making a professional background for youtube?

Yeah they took away the background, but that doesn't mean you can't be creative. You still have your avatar, banner and of course your content. Which to me is more important than having a pretty background. Don't get me wrong sometimes it can feel limited, but when you really go into depth with it you will find it will do more good than harm. Plus it is going to be forced on everyone soon anyway.

Remember MySpace? They gave people free reign with customization and it was an eye-sore. I prefer forcing users to adhere to standards really.

I hate youtube for doing that, making us change. All there youtube stars like 'iJustine' were kissing there asses making that promo. Lets face it. They hated it.

Well it was necessarily just YouTube... Google most likely had some part in it as well. Plus there "YouTube stars" were not kissing their asses its their job. Sure some pretty well known people may not have liked it, but they got over it. In fact many of them actually prefer the new layout. It will just take some time to get used to it like other updates.

Nah, I'm pretty sure they offered iJustine a heap of cash and a boob job. What a sell-out!!
