Any tips for channel trailers?

I've had mine for quite a while and wanna make a new one. I'm just not sure what kind of trailer would fit me. Any ideas or tips?

Keep it short, keep it high impact. Assume that when it shows, people will click the "skip ad" button as soon as they can, therefore you want to grab their attention within those precious few unskippable seconds and then hold on to it for as long as possible!

yes, make it very short and show your viewers what your channel is about, show maybe a sneak peak or tell people about yourself in a very fun and exciting way.

Keep it short and sweet but you want to catch the viewers attention within your trailer... therefore creating the chance that they will click on your channel to view more of your content. oh and make it funny, everyone loves a good laugh.

I tried to make mine like a normal video that my current subscribers could enjoy. It seemed to work as I've had a few comments from people saying they subbed after watching my trailer!

just choose yoru best video. or the video that converts the most people to subscribers
I've done that as a temporary solution but I think it's better to do a 30 second trailer to give the viewers a complete idea about what the channel is about.

Treat it just like a 30-second ad. Sell your channel to the viewer. Once they subscribe, they don't see it anymore so it is just for new viewers. Have a SINGLE call-to-action at the end and that being for them to subscribe. Nothing more. Do NOT monetize it. Don't let another ad spoil your ad. This is just to sell your channel and not some advertiser's stuff. While viewers will usually find your channel with a topic search and even subscribe to it because of its topic, know that it is YOU that keeps them as a subscriber. So first talk about your topic and why they should listen to you about it and THEN talk about yourself as you relate to your topic. Use this as a chance to humanize yourself to them. And before asking for them to subscribe, tell them your release schedule so they know what they're getting themselves into. Lastly, don't be afraid to have it run up to a minute. Just keep it concise and brief as possible. It doesn't have to be exactly 30 or a minute but somewhere between.

I also wanted to have a trailer, but I decided to put there my most popular video. Unless you are a vloger, having trailer doesn't necessarily help you.
