When you say noise do you mean audio noise? or video noise? there to different things. For audio you can use a free program called Audacity to remove it and it does a pretty good job and for video.. well you can do it in after effects and there are some great plugins to help with that, but out side of Ae or even Pr or final cut pro im amusing i don't think you would be able to do it :p
 
Sony Vegas is really good. I've used it for a couple of years now and I can't switch to any other editing software, but so far I've been doing great with sony vegas, there hasn't been anything I've not been able to do with it! :smug:
 
HANDY TIP that I've learnt along the way with Sony Vegas


· When rendering in Vegas and experiencing problems with it crashing
Copy the full vegas file into a brand new project and then render – Voila! - seems to work everytime...not sure why? but certainly helps especially for bigger videos

Had this prob with vid below - the render would be out of time with the music - used - CTRL A (select all) then COPY - open a new sony vegas project and PASTE

I used it and it worked pretty good but it saved freakin long , like 3 hours for 4 mins >.<
